About the project

Aldridge Air Conditioning was engaged to design and install comprehensive air conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems for the Tesco Little Switzerland store and café in Douglas, Isle of Man. The project focused on providing efficient climate control solutions for various rooms within the facility, including the café, colleague room, manager’s office, training room, and cash office.

Premium Equipment: Utilised high-quality Daikin and Toshiba air conditioning systems, with Aldridge Air Conditioning being a Daikin D1+/Business Solutions Partner and a Toshiba Business Solutions Partner. All equipment came with a 7-year manufacturer’s parts warranty.

Comprehensive Service: Delivered extensive air conditioning and mechanical ventilation installations, ensuring efficient climate control across the store and café.

Expert Installation: Ensured all installations were performed according to the supplied drawings, with pipework and control systems effectively integrated.

HOW WE HELPED

Services provided

Installed Daikin split systems, including round flow cassettes, compact cassette types, and wall-mounted units across multiple areas such as the colleague room, manager’s office, training room, cash office, and confidential room.

For the café, installed a Daikin R32 Triple Split system serving three cassette type Fan Coil Units (FCUs), with pipework run on containment throughout.

Supplied and installed mechanical ventilation systems for the mezzanine floor office areas, toilet block, and ground floor areas, utilising Toshiba VN-U00151SY-E VAM units where necessary.

Installed grilles and single blade dampers as per project specifications.

Installed refrigeration pipework with Class ‘0’ insulation and PVC gravity drains to local drain stacks via waterless traps.

Provided wall-mounted controllers for each room and managed control wiring for air-conditioning and central control integration.

Conducted pressure testing, evacuation, charging of refrigerant circuits, and commissioning of all systems to ensure optimal performance.
