Maison La Corderie Stuart CourtGovernment of Jersey Long Term Care Scheme
The Long-Term Care Scheme provides financial support to Jersey residents who require ongoing care due to significant difficulties with everyday activities, such as getting out of bed, washing, dressing, or moving around independently.
Support is available whether care is provided at home or in a care home. The scheme is designed to help ensure that the cost of long-term care does not become a financial burden. The level of financial assistance available depends on both the individual’s care needs and their financial circumstances. If a person is unable to meet the cost of their care, the scheme can help cover these expenses. Where an individual is able to contribute towards their care costs, financial support may be available once they have made a contribution for a specified period.
The scheme is administered by the Government of Jersey and aims to provide peace of mind by ensuring that people who need long-term care can access the support they require, regardless of their financial situation. Further information about eligibility, financial support, and the application process can be found on the Government of Jersey Long-Term Care Scheme website.
