Stuart Court

Nestled in semi-rural St Lawrence, Stuart Court is a residential care home for adults aged 60 and above. With panoramic views over St Aubin’s Bay and two beautiful gardens, it offers a peaceful and supportive environment. Stuart Court provides long-term residential care as well as short-term respite stays. Residents benefit from personalised care plans, monthly one-to-one reviews, and a vibrant activities programme. Our experienced team promote independence and choice, supported by modern facilities including en-suite rooms, accessible bathing, and spacious lounges. At Stuart Court, residents enjoy comfort, companionship and community in a truly homely setting.

Maison La Corderie

Located between St Helier town centre and Havre des Pas, Maison La Corderie is a welcoming residential home for older adults. Set within a historic community, the home offers personal care and support for up to 31 residents, as well as two respite beds. Our approach focuses on maintaining independence, dignity, and meaningful engagement. Residents enjoy bright, en-suite rooms, communal lounges, beautiful outdoor spaces and a complete programme of activities. With a skilled and caring team, Maison La Corderie provides a safe and inclusive environment where residents are supported to live life to the fullest.

Inspection Reports

MHA Jersey is regulated by the Jersey Care Commission, which independently inspects our homes to ensure the highest standards of care and governance. Both Stuart Court and Maison La Corderie undergo regular inspections that review safety, quality of care, staffing, leadership and resident involvement. What we got up to this week at Stuart Court , Monday ,
We baked some cookies to take to The Glass church Hall for chat time , Tuesday we
Visited chat time for games and chats and cake . Wednesday we braved the weather and had a drive out for a coffee at St Aubins and to really brighten our Day we had a uplifting visit from Music in Action with the very talented Harriet , James and Tim .
Thursday we played bingo and tried our hands at some Art .
Friday we had the very talented Sandy Warren , he had us all swaying in our seats and singing away .

MHA Jersey (Methodist Homes for the Aged) is a long-established charitable organisation providing exceptional residential care for older adults in Jersey.

We are now looking for a kind, enthusiastic, and conscientious Kitchen Porter to join our team, working primarily at Stuart Court (St Lawrence), with occasional work at Maison La Corderie (St Helier) if required.

The Role

You will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen areas, including:

Crockery, utensils, pots & pans
Food preparation and serving equipment
General kitchen cleanliness in line with MHA policies

Key Responsibilities
Support the provision of nutritious, balanced meals for residents
Promote dignity, privacy, independence, and wellbeing
Treat all residents with respect, empathy, and compassion
Communicate effectively with residents, colleagues, and professionals
Work flexibly across both care homes when required

25 days annual leave
No late nights

Stuart Court have had a great week getting ready for the 81 st Liberation ,we have had The Lighthouse Church having a good sing a long session .
A visit to st Brelade’s church Hall and where made very welcome with beautiful cake and drinks and activities to do .
Rae From Kairos Art came to join us for a very popular knitting and lots of nattering session .
We’ve had the Pleasure of Mike and Dawn having sing a longs too and Dan with his Boxing .
We were very delighted to of been invited by the Parish of st Lawrence to the The Ambassdeur Hotel for a Remembrance Lunch .

We’ve had an a very interesting week at Stuart Court , a special guest called Tortellini the tortoise came to check out the toes and snacks , and had good speedy stroll around . We’ve made cakes to take to the chat time session at the Glass Church Hall ,
Been for a browse at Acorn , and Alan Trilby had everyone singing and swaying in their seats .Jersey Mobile Library also came along to help find us all some new and interesting books too .
