Our Story
MHA Jersey (Methodist Homes for the Aged) is a long-established charitable organisation providing exceptional residential care for older adults in Jersey. Inspired by Christian concern and guided by compassion, we support residents to live with dignity, independence and a genuine sense of home. Our two welcoming care homes—Stuart Court in St Lawrence and Maison La Corderie in St Helier—offer safe, comfortable surroundings and personalised care from experienced staff. We’re committed to quality, transparency and involvement, working closely with families and professionals to enhance wellbeing. Our Philosophy

Respite Care
Our respite care offers short-term stays designed to give carers a well-earned break while providing older adults with expert support in a warm, welcoming environment. Available at both Stuart Court and Maison La Corderie, respite stays are carefully planned following a personal assessment to ensure comfort and continuity of care. Guests enjoy the full benefits of our homes, including tailored support, nutritious meals, engaging activities and social interaction. Whether recovering from illness or supporting family carers, respite care is a practical, positive way to restore balance and wellbeing — with peace of mind for everyone involved.
Leadership Team
Our Leadership Team brings together experienced professionals who are passionate about delivering the highest standards of residential care. Led by our Home Managers and supported by senior carers, administrators, activity coordinators and catering teams, they work closely with our Board of Directors to ensure excellence at every level. Together, they champion a culture of respect, kindness and continuous improvement across both homes. Their hands-on approach, transparent communication and deep commitment to residents’ wellbeing ensure MHA Jersey remains a trusted, compassionate organisation at the heart of our island community.

We had an excellent week at Stuart Court last week,,our Therapy dog Ghillie and Sue came back to see us, for lots of treats and cuddles.
Dawn had everyone singing away with all the actions to her songs.
Avril created some wonderful crafts for us all at the Glass church hall.
We enjoyed a trip to the the Grand maiche and a coffee catch up in the cafe and some memoriable scenic drives out and about . Looking forward to the new week ahead 🤩
Heres a few snaps from last week at Stuart Court, We had a venture out to the new Outlet store in St Johns, and made very welcome , The residents were interested to see food prices as its been awhile since they may of Grocery shopped, we met up with MLC at Partners restaurant and had a good old natter and catch up .
We've had Bernie and Elizabeth in to sing for us too and really enjoyed karios arts visting for our Knit and natter session , and very important Bingo fun too .
We have one of the best views from our Stuart Court balcony, enjoying the glorious sunshine with some bubbly and scones, spotting the planes .
Our residents really do enjoy getting out and about.
We visited St Martin's Tea Rooms and also Partners for coffee and a good old natter.
St Matthew's Church hall where we enjoy a serious game of Rumicub and crafts.
We welcomed Elizabeth entertaining us with her music getting us up for a boogie.
Getting together in or out of the house gathers us together to build friendships and relationships. Our social activities encourage communication and makes us feel part of the community.
