About the project
Aldridge Air Conditioning was engaged to upgrade the mechanical services for the 2nd and 3rd floors of the i9 Wolverhampton Interchange as part of a Cat B fit-out. This project involved modifications to the ventilation, comfort cooling systems, and domestic water services to meet the updated layout requirements.

HOW WE HELPED
Services provided
Modified supply air ventilation on the 2nd and 3rd floors, adding new branch ducts and repositioning fan coil units.
Installed a Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) unit for the 3rd floor lounge and conference room, ensuring fresh air supply and effective heat recovery.
Provided extract ventilation for kitchen and bar areas using in-line extract fans in service risers.
Installed a split-type direct expansion (DX) air conditioning system for the 2nd floor server room.
Modified existing Daikin VRV Heat Recovery systems on the 2nd and 3rd floors to suit the new layout.
Upgraded domestic water services for the 2nd floor staff kitchen and multiple areas on the 3rd floor, including a hospitality suite, office tea point, and central bar.
Installed boosted cold water services, underfloor pipework, and point-of-use electric water heaters.
Modified the existing drainage system to accommodate the new layout, ensuring effective testing and maintenance with self-resealing anti-vacuum/anti-siphon traps.
